Gravesend Project

This was our first projects where we removed an old carpet and fitted underfloor heating with engineered wood flooring.

We advised the client to use engineered wood flooring as it is highly popular and sought after in modern homes.  Engineered wood flooring looks just like real wood.

Engineered wood flooring does not expand and contract to the same extent as solid wood.  It is safe to lay in environments where solid wood would risk damage for example in the kitchen and bathroom environments, where moisture levels and temperatures fluctuate enormously.

We carried out my research  and explained to the client that engineered wood is  extremely durable explaining further that it is  made up of layers and layers of plywood that are bonded together before being topped off with a solid wood lamella or top layer.

The making of engineered wood flooring boards in this way means that they are incredibly tough and will stand up to heavy footfall in both domestic and commercial environments.

The engineered wood flooring was for an open space which is used as a living room and dining room and these areas carry heavy traffic especially in a family of six with two active children who run around all the time.

The use of engineered wood floor is important as it can withstand heavy traffic and can be sanded down if need be depends on the thickness as this will allow it to get back to new life after year of use.

Use of undefloor heating is a modern and high-spec feature that allows you to enjoy the luxury of warm floors during cold winter mornings. It can be an efficient way of heating a room as the heat rises slowly around the whole room, while radiators heat a more isolated.
